hi Jan! I haven't... I think the days of the week are one of those things you'll have to learn by rote. I remember when I started learning, I would chant nichi-getsu-ka-sui-moku-kin-dou over and over again (it's got a nice rhythm!). eventually it just stuck. I suppose I could try to come up with a few mnemonics...
getsu: getcher ass out of bed, it's monday sui: suiiiit (sweet), week's half done kin: what better way to represent friday than with gold?
Finally I've transcended the rank tediousness of the online diary
and have come up with something (questionably) useful. I teach English at an eikaiwa in Himeji, Japan. I like stuff.

Thanks Far East Icarus. But never mind days of the week, we've moved on to counting months! Now THAT is completely undoable!!
Or counting days of the month even.
haha if you wanted easy, you should've taken up Spanish! ;)
